How can I turn the game sound on/off?

You can do it in the Settings menu (button with the gears at the right side of the game window). The options you can use there are the following:
- toggle sounds;
- toggle music;
- toggle notifications;
- show/hide all buildings;
- change the graphics detail level;
- go to the Help page.
