Omens are special game modes which periodically and randomly appear in rooms. Every omen increases the amount of light earned for completing the room it has captured. Complete the room with an omen in it to banish the omen and earn bonuses in addition to the regular reward. Once banished, the omen will leave behind a special curse mode. It can also be banished with a special item that can be bought for rubies, without spending light. At the present time Castle Schwartzberg is inhabited by three omens:
1. Flame is the menacing element of fire, a ferocious omen. It accelerates the flow of time by two, leaving you less time to complete the room. Words on the search list are missing parts of letters, and the room is engulfed in fire. This omen can be banished with Fiery Pipes. Leaves behind the Fire curse, which reduces time to complete the room and displays objects as silhouettes.
2. Shadow is a calm and sinister omen. It accelerates the flow of time by two, leaving you less time to complete the room. Words on the search list are mixed up in the most spectacular way, and the room itself is cloaked in green mist. The omen can be banished with Wild Flutes. Leaves behind the Jumble curse, which also comes with a green mist and mixed up words on the search list, though time flows at its normal pace. 3. Poltergeist is an elusive omen which turns everything upside down, including the room. It accelerates the flow of time by two, leaving you less time to complete the room. The omen can be banished with a Spirit Rattle. Leaves behind the Vision curse, which accelerates time by two and mixes up words on the search list.
